Best Sporting Achievement

I struggle with this as I don’t see myself as an individual. I work in basketball so for me it’s all about the team.  I’d go all the way back to my early days at school.  It wasn’t about winning at all costs, it was about being able to do sport, enjoy it and do it well.  We had two choices at school 1. Get into trouble or 2. Try sport.

Sport has the power to protect vulnerable children, to show them another way and hopefully to stop them getting up to no good. This is the kind of stuff that DMSF is doing now – when I look back this is exactly what I was doing when I was 14 or 15 years old without even knowing it.

Proudest Moment

Watching my daughter playing basketball for England and then go professional. Being able to pass on that mantle as her coach was such a privildege.  I’m proud that I was able to help her achieve her life goals, it’s an incredible feeling.
