DMSF recognise there are deep-rooted social problems facing young people today. We and our partners have a strong track record of providing pathways into employment and diversionary programmes, that deliver long lasting outcomes for the most hard to reach young people across Manchester.
A quality, sustainable, work ready programme
Manchester is ranked England’s fourth most deprived Local Authority and second most deprived in terms of income deprivation. DMSF works with some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people in the region.
This disadvantage has a long lasting effect on young people by impacting on their health, their education and employment, and their interaction with the justice system.
In collaboration with Enterprise and Digital businesses, our Employability programme is designed to provide a quality, sustainable, work ready programme for delivery in schools for 14-16 year olds.
In partnership with schools, academy’s and businesses we identify young people across the North West, to participate in work ready learning, in order for them to make an effective transition from school to adulthood and employment.
