In true Valentine’s Day spirit, this month we’re feeling the love from two very special supporters; Yale Housing Ltd and Fairhome Group.

Both Yale Housing and Fairhome have each generously donated £4,000 to DMSF.

Julie Thompson, CEO of Yale Housing, said: “I am totally behind what DMSF stand for and what the organisation brings to the young people of their community. The support offered is much needed and allows young people to reach their full potential.”

“To enable this vulnerable group of people to gain life skills to empower them to go forward into adult life equipped with both living skills and, equally important, social skills, is often not recognised. Yale Housing is pleased to be able to support the Foundation in their efforts.”

John Russell, CEO of Fairhome Group, said: “Strong evidence shows that sport encourages aspiration, improves health and fitness, and brings communities together. Yet despite this, far too few young people, particularly in deprived areas have access to good sporting facilities, coaches and role models.

“Fairhome is proud to support DMSF in helping to change the lives of young people through sport, and to help them achieve their full potential.”

These donations will make a significant impact in enabling the charity to develop programmes that help build character and develop behaviours in young people that are transferable throughout their lives. This includes the DMSF Youth Hub in Gorton which supports 75 young people every week. Without this valubable funding, the Hub would have to close.
