DMSF recently held their inaugural Charity Golf Day raising over £4,500 for the Foundation.
The tournament, which was held on Thursday 26 September, was a huge success with some great golf, wonderful competition and camaraderie amongst the players and team DMSF.
Diane was joined by professional golfers Alison Nicholas, Carly Booth and Sophie Walker, and award winning business woman Julia Regis who got competitive on the prestigious 18-hole, Par 72 Championship golf Course, all in aid of DMSF.
Play was an AM/AM format with the best scores to count on each hole.
Players enjoyed bacon and sausage rolls on arrival and a two-course meal and prize giving following the competition.
But it wasn’t just about the golf; guests were treated to an evening with Olympic legend and motivational speaker, Derek Redmond, who inspired them with stories from his sporting career.
Diane Modahl said, “Our inaugural golf day was a brilliant success and the positive feedback we received from all the players is testimony to the hard work and effort put in by the team; there is already much talk of next year.”
